SECURITY INCIDENT – DECEMBER 2025
In December 2025 a ransomware threat was identified with one of our strategic vendors in the USA.
Due to the interconnected nature of that vendor’s IT system and those of Thompson Shipping, we took
immediate action to secure the customer data on our IT systems and databases. We engaged forensic
IT specialists to investigate and notified the Office of the Ombudsman to report the incident.
Regular searches of the dark web since December 2025 has found no evidence of any data belonging
to our customers.
We are taking steps to further secure our systems in collaboration with the IT specialists and will
continue the dark web monitoring for an extended period.
No further action is required by you, but please notify us immediately if you identify any suspicious
activity related to your accounts with us.
